When the serial first aired in late 2005 the first episodes were purely devoted to the introduction of the Thakkar family, and the roles they played within the household. As the characters and their lives developed, many story arcs were generated from it.
Recently, the Baba Bhai Builders claimed that Krishna Villa, the house the Thakkar family live in,had been bought by them.It is later accepted that Pravin Thakkar had sold the house to the Builders. After being sent out of the house, the Thakkar family then reside to their other problem: How to buy the house back. After realizing that they could pay back by paying the original cost (Rs.200,000,00) with 25%. Meanwhile, as Pravin roams around for a place to live in, he reaches Iksha, a family friend who discovers why Pravin is stressed.
On the 6th of August, Baby, a character famous due to her polionised legs and beauty, has had her birthday.This was her last birhday with her family as she would get married to birju later. On her last birthday, Gattu had made her a huge surprise, which included a 60 feet poster saying 'Happy Birthday Baby!'. This year, however, was a party where Baby sat on a huge platform and watched her family members dance as famous characters. Birju ( Baby's boyfriend)came unexpected as an indian bride! Soon that will be Baby! Another Unexpected guest was the one and only... Katrina Kaif made a special appeareance in the serial to promote her film Singh Is Kinng.
