The story revolves around a overweight girl, Mahi Talwar(Pushtiie Shakti) who faces the challenges and aspects of work and life through a unique set of procedures, rules and phases which she refers to "Mahi Way" by interacting with her friends, Siddharth, a wannabe fashion designer and Roshni, her dumb but style cat friend who makes heads turn wherever she goes.
She faces a lot of pressure and embarrasment from her family consisting of her father and mother who keep bickering regularly over house bills,family members and their new renters, a gay couple who Mahi talks to when she is down. Much of the drama arises from the grandmother's problems with her daughter's newfound affair and Mahi's brother, Ankur who keeps facing problems arising due to peer pressure
She also struggles from inferiority complex because of her elder sister, Anjali who is married to her amazingly sweet Jeeju and have a cute little daughter, and is physically fit and focused.
At work, Mahi initially writes a Agony Aunt Column helping people by learning stuff every episode. However she faces criticism from her forgetful boss and 2 office bullies who she refers to as Kutti and Kamini. She also harbors a crush on the head of the company, Trend, called Ishan Singh. Later, she even loses her job and decides to pursue her career as a journalist but joins a studio instead.
During all these disaster sequences, she happens to always cross paths between her charming yet strange childhood friend, Shiv who ends up helping her instead. [3] |
