Nowadays the lavish weddings sets, the traditional looks, lots of naach-gana during the sangeet-mehendi ceremonies are the binding factor in Hindi prime time soaps.
So when Simar (Dipika Samson) and Prem (Shoaib Ibrahim) are gearing up for their big wedding night on Colors channel’s prime time soap ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, everything needs to be perfect. Buzz is that the actors’ wardrobe for the wedding night has been designed by Riyaz Ganjii, who has dressed up many Bollywood actors for their weddings. He has dressed up Simar in the traditional Indian bride's look complete with maroon and green colored lehenga with contemporary Swarovski and traditional zardozi work whereas Prem’s outfit is a traditional sherwani in golden and maroon.
Programming head Ashwini Yardi says that the designs of Riyaz will make Simar and Prem the loveliest couple to tie the nuptial knot and this will attract more viewers for the show.
Dipika Samson who essays Simar in the show seems to be having loads of fun with the marriage celebrations on the show. She adds that she simply loves her look in the bridal attire and she feels as if she is rehearsing for her real marriage.
