Actor Shailesh Lodha better known for his portrayal of Taarak Mehta in SAB TV’s sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma’ was recently honoured by an International Association of Doctors in New York last week. The actor was invited as a guest of honour in a two-day conclave organised by the association.
Well known for his poetry, the actor recited one of his very famous poems which made the tough doctors get emotional. The actor was extremely touched by the gesture of one of his fan who spotted him accidently in Times Square.
Describing the moment, the actor told that a lady came running towards me and started crying and said that her daughter was seriously ill and during that time she incidentally read his poem on ‘Betiyan’ on net. The poem helped her to get through traumatic period.”
